Sometimes I wonder about people that drink. They get drunk over the weekend, but when they go to work, they look like they have never had a drink a day in their lives. You hear the rumors that someone got drunk and how they looked so terrible. The person may not look like the type to drink. It is said that there are problem drinkers that do not seem to be problem drinkers. Alcohol abuse can sneak up on you at anytime. You can be a problem drinker and still may be able to get up and go to work. I have heard some people say that they have been drunk, and the next day they could still remember what happened the night before. Some people do not know when to stop drinking. They seem to drink and get drunk for the fun of it. So far, I haven’t seen anyone getting in trouble because of their drinking. Sometimes drinking can cause problems between you and other people. There are people that forget all about responsibilities because of drinking. Some people can drink and never get a drinking problem. To someone else, it may be an addiction, poison, and death.It’s bad to be depressed and have a drinking problem too. People that are depressed may drink too much or commit suicide.

Depression can be bad enough. I have heard of some college students that have died for drinking too much. I have never understood why people have thrown their lives away on drinking. I suppose there are all kinds of reasons. I think it’s best to stay away from the booze.

Things That Don’t Make Sense

Life can be crazy, and sometimes people make it crazy. On weekends, a great crowd of people would go crabbing and fishing down town to the bridge. Everyone was happy and getting along. The sun would shine so bright. Children were excited about the giant crabs that their parents were pulling in while they ate snacks and sipped on sodas. Sometimes people would share what they caught if they did not have enough room for all of it.

As the years went by, you could no longer crab and go fishing down town to the bridge without a license. Now, I don’t see as many people down town to that bridge like I did when I was a child. Just when people find a way to enjoy life, somebody comes up with something stupid.

Do you know what? Women definitely need to protect themselves. They are always the ones getting attacked. The law tells you that you have to have a scar or a bruise for evidence. Yea, right! That one scar or bruise may be the death of you before you can defend yourself. Who came up with that stupid idea? I say do not listen to it, and you should worry about getting locked up later. The things that ought to be against the law, it seems there is no law made for it. For an example, people have to go to work on icy roads because their jobs expects them to go to work. So many end up in ditches. Why isn’t there a law against that?

There are a lot of things in this life that just doesn’t make sense to me. They say that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Well, I do not have all of the sense in the world, but I’m thinking that a mind is wasted and too many of them.

Click Fraud or Holding Back Money

Ad programs can say what they want about click fraud. I believe that it is all about holding back your money. They create ad programs for you to embed ads to your site so that you can be paid by clicks. Well, what’s the problem, Jack? What’s up with all of the rules? When someone clicks on your ad, there should be no exceptions to the rule. When someone clicks on your ad, you should be paid for that click. I truly believe that they make false judgments on the clicks anyway. You know that you don’t have time to sit at a computer and click on ads all day. They need to consider that people have a lot of fans coming to their sites. This isn’t the publisher’s fault. It’s the ad programs that have issues and need to leave the clicks alone. If they are so worried about dishonesty, they need to create a whole new ad program.

Why don’t they just pay the people when someone buys or sign up for something through their ads, like the referral programs do. Maybe they just need to forget about the clicks altogether. I like making money and having ads on my site. However, if they want to take away from me for something that is not my fault, what is the point in signing up for these ad programs?

The Charact

Many people have heard of the Sunday Funnies I’m sure. The funnies were done with pen and ink. I remember sending submissions to King Features (Syndicate Group). The comics had to be a certain size. Most cartoonist draw their comic strips 13” wide by 4” tall. I had to draw my comics to fit onto standard 8-½” x 11” sheets of paper. I had to send 24 daily comic strips and 4 Sundays. My cartoons did not make it. There could have been several reasons why, but I never gave up, and I still loved my work and believed in it. When it comes to rules, sometimes I break them. I practice in freedom to do things my way. Sometimes I’m my own critique. I find that the things I drew in the past, I can make it better in the present and future. Ideas grow and pour onto blank pages.

The Charact

One day I drew quite a few characters, and I decided that I wanted to have my own fictional newspaper. I am always writing stories about my characters, and I wanted them to seem real as possible. At first, I came up with a website titled “West Street Journal”. I would make up front page stories of my characters in jpeg format and post them to my site. I got a kick out of doing it. Again, I must say that my ideas grew. I came up with more to do and created a second fictional newspaper creation titled “The Charact”. Char’ act is a word I took from the word Character. It is a fictional newspaper from the “West Street Journal”. The “West Street Journal” is about more than just my characters. So I decided to make a second fictional paper creation just for my characters only.

Christian Comics

There should be Christian comics in the Sunday Funnies too or maybe a paper just for Christian comics only. Then there would be Sunday Daily Funnies. Well, I draw Christian cartoons. The characters are a symbol for people in everyday life that are only human who live extraordinary lives.

Jealousy Online

There is a lot of jealousy online. That might be some of the reason great content is overlooked. People are afraid that you will out do them. In other words, if you post something in a Social Site, you may find mean comments about what you have posted. Sometimes people have nothing better to do. They are bored to death. They will do whatever it takes to keep your content down just browsing around doing nothing. For one thing, people vote for their so called friends. They say, you click and vote on my content and I’ll click and vote on yours. Really, everyone is all for themselves. Some people are not really interested in the content and some might be.

When it comes to content, I just put it online and leave it there. If I see content from someone that interest me, I’ll stop and read it, comment on it, and rate it. It’s a job trying to get people to read your content, and on top of that, you are busy writing it too. If you can write something that everybody will want to read, your content will make it no matter what jealousy will do. There are some real haters out there that need help, but they won‘t get far. No one can work with them or get along with them. Don’t let them stop you. Keep on creating content. Join together with others if you have to and be nice.

What’s the point in being mean to someone if you did not like their content? All they have to do is bypass it. People would run you off line if they could. Some people have the nerve to tell you where to go and what to do on your blog or site. They are simply just being cruel. If you can, delete them and don’t answer them.

Be Ye Perfect

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matt.5:48). Do we know what that really means? Most people and ministers will tell you that no one can be perfect. Then why did Jesus say be perfect? If Jesus thought that we could not be, I do not think he would have even mentioned it.

In Deut. 18:13, the Bible said, Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. (14) For these nations, which thou shalt posses, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. You see, God can help us to be perfect.

Noah is a perfect example. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God (Genesis 6:9). Let us look at our generation. Most people love drinking, fornicating, and doing things that are not right in the sight of God. Now, look at yourself. Do you try to please the Lord? Do you try to keep away from things that can cause you to sin before God? If the answer is yes, how do you know that God does not consider you a just person and perfect in your generation? If everybody seems to be against you, you must be doing something right. Only Noah and his family were saved and the rest of the people died in the flood. Everybody laughed at him. Your enemies may be laughing at you for being a servant of God. Keep on serving God and pleasing him. You will be blessed just as Noah and his family was blessed.

Be ye perfect. I think I get the meaning of the word. If we turn from our wicked ways, do what is right in the sight of God, and stay on the right path, we can be perfect too. We all have our faults, but the more you walk and talk with God, and the more you live for God, you will get there. You will be where God wants you to be in him, and he will be in you.

Little Benny Without Walls

Have you ever read a book without pictures? Have you ever tried to draw a picture of what you have read? Everyday, I try to come up with new ideas for my Christian characters. I got an idea from the Bible verse Proverbs 25:28. “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” I used my character, Little Benny. Little Benny is a Christian character exposed to temptations.

In my mind, I pictured Little Benny broken down in a cold lonely room. I pictured him broken down on the inside and in his surroundings. The room he was in was the way he felt on the inside. Little Benny smoked cigars, and it was breaking down his health. He was sometimes frustrated, angry, sad, and did not know which way to turn before he became a Christian. Benny had no self-control when he was mad. Therefore, I drew him bumping into a wall that was not physical but spiritually there. The wall was fading away and breaking down, representing a broken down man. The Bible verse made my imagination run wild with my Character.

A False Peace Will Come

When everything begins to look great in our world, know that the end of time is near. According to the Bible, a false peace will come. There will be a one-world government. When the false peace comes, there will be tribulation that will follow. (Rev. 6:2-8) And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. From my understanding, this is our false peace.

(4) And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. (5) And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see, And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. (6) And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. (7) And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. (8) And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Many people are afraid to read the book of Revelation. They better read it so that they will not be deceived. They are afraid of the bad things that are going to happen. Ready or not, Christ is coming. I do not know about you, but I do not want to be lost. Serve God and you will be saved.

Canning Food for Hard Times
Mama use to can fruits and vegetables. She did it for hard times. It seemed to be a lot of hard work to me. She would clean the jars, and she would can vegetables from the garden and fruit from the trees. It seemed that mama would do it every year. She made homemade jelly. It was smooth as honey, and it tasted better than Welch’s Jelly. To me, mama was the best cook in the world. Everybody loved her cooking and canned goods.
When mama canned the food in jars, I can remember the jar lids popping. She would tell me that the jars were ceiling up. Mama made some shelves in a little room down in the garage for them. She had plans to store and store and store. Mama had big jars and little jars of canned cinnamon pears, apples, pickles, and jelly. Sometimes, I feel so sad because I miss what she did.
